Loader - Bulky Waste

Responsibilities

• Collect and remove fly-tipped waste from adopted highways across Bristol
• Tip vehicles at designated refuse facilities and manage loading/unloading of waste materials
• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements, including safe lifting practices and wearing appropriate PPE
• Use mobile IT equipment to complete daily paperwork and record work
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of collection vehicles and equipment
• Work flexibly to provide cover across various services and Bristol Waste locations as required

Requirements

• Strong practical skills in manual handling and experience working in physically demanding environments
• Ability to use mobile IT devices for documentation and following instructions
• Good situational awareness and a strong focus on safety in public and roadside environments
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, including PPE and safe working procedures
• Understanding of waste handling, disposal processes, and legal compliance
• Familiarity with local Bristol geography, including streets and depots
