Loader - Bulky Waste

Responsibilities

• Collect and remove fly-tipped waste from adopted highways across Bristol
• Tip vehicles at designated refuse facilities and manage loading/unloading in accordance with company policy
• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements, including safe lifting practices and wearing appropriate PPE
• Use mobile IT equipment to complete daily paperwork and record work
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of collection vehicles and equipment
• Work flexibly to provide cover across various services and locations as operationally required

Requirements

• Strong practical skills in manual handling, lifting, and the safe operation of equipment
• Ability to use mobile IT devices for documentation and following instructions
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and waste handling processes
• Good situational awareness for working safely in public and roadside environments
• Familiarity with local Bristol geography, including streets and depots
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates
