LNG Freight Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop and present unique trade strategies by connecting market fundamentals with proprietary insights and advanced analytics
• Provide market forecasts on fundamentals and price to support the trading organization
• Perform economic analysis for opportunity evaluation and capture learnings from missed opportunities
• Support derivatives trading through the analysis of new and existing derivative instrument usage
• Build collaborative relationships with global trading partners to drive execution and value creation
• Act as a power-user for strategic tools including data systems, Eikon, and SAP
• Contribute to special projects, strategy studies, and market entry initiatives

Requirements

• BS or BBA in engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, business, or an equivalent field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical role within trading shops, banks, or funds
• Deep knowledge of physical and paper markets in crude and products
• Experience with derivatives, risk evaluation, and risk management techniques
• Strong numerical, analytical, and modeling skills with the ability to forecast market impacts
• Proficiency in programming and data tools including Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and SAP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multi-national teams
