LNA Float Pool

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care for a specialty patient population under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
• Perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care needs for patients
• Execute technical skills and procedures relating to the physical, mental, and social needs of patients
• Document care provided and report observations regarding patient physical, social, and mental status to the RN
• Monitor and collect basic patient data, including vital signs
• Maintain patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adequate supplies of equipment
• Adhere to safe patient handling policies and the five rights of delegation
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees as needed

Requirements

• Current New Hampshire State LNA license
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (or equivalent)
• 6-12 months of previous experience in a clinical setting
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a healthcare team
• Proficiency in medical terminology and nursing care procedures
• Ability to lift, carry, or push/pull up to 50 lbs occasionally
