About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop agentic AI systems including reasoning, planning, and orchestration capabilities
  • Design and optimize RAG pipelines over engineering documentation and physics simulation results
  • Implement persistent memory and context management for long-running engineering sessions
  • Fine-tune and adapt LLMs for Physics AI and physics simulation domain expertise
  • Deploy and scale production-grade LLM infrastructure for self-hosting and serving
  • Integrate LLM capabilities with Physics AI training, evaluation, and inference pipelines
  • Establish evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure copilot quality and accuracy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers, platform engineers, and product teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience building production software or ML systems
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing LLM-powered applications
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience with Agent Evals and coding agents like Claude Code
  • Deep understanding of LLM architectures, prompting, and multi-agent orchestration
  • Hands-on experience with RAG systems, vector databases, and memory management
  • Experience building MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers
  • Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Autogen
  • Experience fine-tuning LLMs and self-hosting them in production

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript or Go
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and GPU infrastructure optimization
  • Experience deploying ML systems on GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Background in CFD, structural analysis, or thermal simulation
  • Experience building developer tools or copilot-style products
