Livestock Stockman

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and well-being of dairy cattle, identifying signs of illness and administering basic treatments
• Assist with calving processes and provide specialized care for newborn calves
• Prepare and distribute feed and water according to the farm's nutrition plan
• Maintain clean and hygienic animal housing and milking areas to prevent disease
• Support milking operations and monitor milk yield to ensure high quality
• Maintain detailed records of animal health, treatments, feeding schedules, and production data
• Assist with breeding programs, including heat detection and monitoring pregnancy progress
• Adhere to all farm safety regulations and animal welfare standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in livestock husbandry or related roles
• Proven experience in livestock management, specifically with large animals like cattle
• Strong knowledge of animal health, behavior, and welfare practices
• Proficiency in record-keeping and data management
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various environmental conditions
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Must be readily available in the UAE
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred
