About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise for the Livelihood & Resilience Unit to achieve strategic ministry objectives and child wellbeing outcomes.
  • Lead the development of national strategies, logical frameworks, and advocacy strategies aligned with government development plans.
  • Integrate key technical areas including food security, climate-resilient agriculture, market-based programming, and youth economic empowerment.
  • Partner with the acquisition team to lead technical proposal writing and secure sustainable funding.
  • Represent the organization externally with government stakeholders, donors, and international partners.
  • Manage and coach the Livelihood & Resilience team, ensuring high-quality implementation and accountability.
  • Monitor program performance and ensure alignment with safeguarding policies and donor standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Livelihood, Food Security, Agriculture, or Market-Based Programming.
  • Proven experience in budget management and financial oversight for large-scale initiatives.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Completed training or coursework in Climate Change Adaptation.
