Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with propounding and responding to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production
• Prepare deposition binders, motions, supporting documents, exhibits, and hearing binders
• Manage trial preparation including witness coordination, travel, trial exhibits, charts, trial notebooks, and subpoenas
• Independently obtain, review, and organize medical records and billings
• Calculate damages including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage
• Communicate routinely with clients, experts, and attorneys regarding case status

Requirements

• Paralegal certification
• 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
• Experience with California litigation highly encouraged
• Solid understanding of state and federal civil litigation rules and deadlines
• High proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
