Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with propounding and responding to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, and subpoenas
• Prepare deposition binders and hearing binders
• Manage trial preparation including witness coordination, travel, exhibits, and trial notebooks
• Independently obtain, review, and organize medical records and billings
• Calculate damages including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage
• Communicate with clients, experts, and attorneys regarding case status

Requirements

• Paralegal certification
• 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
• Experience with California litigation is highly encouraged
• Solid understanding of state and federal civil litigation rules and deadlines
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to work from the office as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in insurance defense, personal injury, or construction defect matters
