Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial and appeals
• Prepare appellate records, appendices, and trial court documents
• Assist with drafting court filings and preparations in Federal and State courts
• Manage discovery processes, including document collection, organization, review, and production
• Perform proofreading, cite checking, and Bluebooking for court briefs and discovery documents
• Support deposition, meeting, and trial preparations, including travel coordination
• Maintain case deadlines and perform day-to-day case management tasks
• Coordinate with external vendors and prepare various charts and indices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and substantive experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm
• Proficiency in California state and U.S. federal court procedures
• Proficiency in Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, and iManage
• Experience with eDiscovery databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, or CaseMap
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously
