Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload under attorney supervision
• Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and other litigation documents
• Coordinate electronic filing through New Jersey state and federal court systems
• Maintain litigation calendars, including court deadlines, depositions, and trial dates
• Review, organize, and summarize medical, billing, and insurance records
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and document collection
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, IMEs, expert reviews, and mediations
• Prepare settlement demand packages and assist with negotiations
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and witness coordination
• Track liens, subrogation interests, and outstanding medical balances

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plaintiff's personal injury law firm
• Proficiency in legal software such as Litify and eCourts
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
