Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize trial binders, exhibit lists, witness files, and trial materials
• Draft, proofread, and file legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery
• Manage discovery processes, including propounding/responding and tracking deadlines
• Coordinate depositions, including scheduling and preparing outlines
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings
• E-file documents with state and federal courts
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
• Assist with jury instruction preparation and verdict form drafting
• Support pre-trial motions and track statutes of limitations

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation
• Strong knowledge of California civil court procedures and filing requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Civil litigation trial preparation experience
• Hands-on experience with trial exhibits and jury instructions
• Familiarity with California employment law
• Experience with e-filing platforms (One Legal, File & ServeXpress)
• Proficiency in case management software (Clio, MyCase)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
