Litigation E-Filing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic court filings for state, federal district, and appellate courts.
• Screen and review incoming and outgoing court documents to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Track critical dates and enter calendar deadlines into centralized docketing software.
• Provide support to litigation attorneys, including research, document retrieval, and service of process.
• Monitor dockets for updates and communicate with court personnel and attorneys regarding filing procedures.
• Assist with administrative projects and general back-up support as needed.

Requirements

• Understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures.
• Knowledge of court rules and procedures in California state and federal courts.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to shifting demands.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of prior experience in litigation docketing.
• Experience working in a large law firm.
• Experience with rules-based calendaring software (e.g., CourtAlert, CompuLaw, MA3000).
• Experience with electronic filing systems such as NexGen or PACER.

Benefits
