J.D. from accredited law school, Active Wisconsin bar membership, 2+ years litigation experience, Experience with product liability or employment matters preferred
About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct a range of litigation matters, including product and premises liability, employment, and general civil and class action litigation
- Supervise litigation strategy, budgets, and case timelines
- Participate in all aspects of case management, including responding to pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing witnesses, and attending trial
- Conduct internal investigations and fact-finding in connection with disputes and pre-litigation matters
- Draft and review settlement agreements and other litigation-related documents
- Oversee regulatory inquiries and government investigations as needed
- Advise on risk-mitigation strategies and initiatives
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in Wisconsin
- 2+ years of litigation experience, either at a law firm or in-house
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with product liability and employment matters
- Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets
- Familiarity with cycling industry products, safety standards, or CPSC regulatory matters
