About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling hearings, deadlines, and managing logistics
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Implement and improve administrative processes for efficient workflow
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence for attorney review
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
- Research regulations, laws, and legal articles
- Manage client billing and resolve billing issues
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions
- Manage and maintain paper or electronic filing systems
- Provide general administrative assistance and travel arrangements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, or First Party practice areas
- Experience in a law firm setting or corporate legal department
