About the role
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high-performance user-space driver libraries for Linux
- Design mechanisms for PCIe device discovery, enumeration, and logical grouping
- Implement custom NVMe-like command and control protocols in user space
- Manage command queues, submission/completion abstractions, and request tracking
- Develop efficient interaction with kernel drivers using ioctl, mmap, and event mechanisms
- Design user-space data movement strategies including DMA buffer lifecycle and zero-copy paths
- Enable concurrent multi-process access to devices with resource management
- Collaborate with runtime, kernel, firmware, and hardware teams
Requirements
- 8+ years in system software or runtime development
- Strong experience building user-space drivers or high-performance system software
- Expertise with kernel interfaces such as ioctl, mmap, and eventfd
- Deep understanding of PCIe and NVMe-like queue models
- Mastery of C/C++ and memory management
- Strong understanding of concurrency and virtual memory
- Experience designing scalable APIs for complex hardware/software systems
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
