Linux and Ansible Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop automation frameworks and establish best practices for scalable infrastructure
• Provide automated monitoring, system hardening, configuration management, and performance optimization for Linux environments
• Translate stakeholder pain points into automation solutions to reduce manual effort and operational risk
• Identify high-impact automation opportunities and develop repeatable methodologies

Requirements

• MUST have TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a counter-intelligence polygraph
• 10+ years of experience administering Linux-based environments (e.g., RHEL)
• Experience managing configuration at scale using Ansible
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, Salt, Puppet, or Chef
• Experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Experience managing systems within U.S. federal government or DoD enterprise IT environments
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (STIG, RMF, or NIST)
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III or CSSP-IS certification within 30 days

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VMware vSphere administration
• Experience with Kubernetes and container platform operations
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with NetApp storage solutions
• Knowledge of Git and version control
