Linux Administrator

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions providing SME in redundancy, data integrity, security, and recoverability
• Implement and support system configuration management using Puppet, Subversion, Jenkins, and Ansible
• Integrate server solutions including web, application, database, and authentication servers
• Implement and troubleshoot redundant application solutions using LAMP architecture
• Engineer solutions for server/application load-testing using tools like LoadRunner or J-Meter
• Monitor IT infrastructure, system utilization, and network security using Nagios
• Implement FISMA IT Security Controls using tools like mod_security, iptables, and Nessus
• Provide on-call technical support and timely status reports to clients

Requirements

• 3-5 years of systems/network administration experience
• Strong foundation in Unix/Linux operating systems and LAMP architecture
• Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise/CentOS Linux Servers
• Experience with high availability solutions using MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle
• Working knowledge of VMware and data storage environments (SAN, NAS, GlusterFS)
• Proficiency in scripting with Perl or Shell
• Experience with Apache, PHP, Tomcat, LDAP, and BIND
• Bachelor's Degree is required
