Linguist

Responsibilities

• Develop and review linguistic rubrics, taxonomies, and annotation guidelines
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to co-develop project-specific linguistic standards and documentation
• Conduct linguistic reviews, quality assurance, and error analysis to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Support projects involving ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), TTS (Text-to-Speech), transcription, speech annotation, and NLP
• Provide linguistic expertise to improve annotation quality and AI model performance

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or a related field
• Native or near-native proficiency in Tamil, Telugu, or Hindi with excellent English communication skills
• 3+ years of experience in AI language data, linguistic annotation, localization, or speech technology projects
• Proven experience in creating annotation guidelines, rubric/tag development, and taxonomy design
• Strong understanding of ASR, TTS, transcription, speech annotation, and NLP workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, or AI data annotation projects
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
