Line Trouble Shooter 1/C

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all types of transmission and distribution pole line work, including climbing poles and installing or maintaining crossarms, pins, insulators, wires, cable, transformers, and lightning arrestors.
• Work on energized lines and equipment in strict accordance with Company Distribution and Transmission Standards and Safety Regulations.
• Assume responsibility for emergency duties with minimal supervision and direct the activities of lower-rated workers.
• Share standby requirements for the area and maintain necessary records of work performed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved vocational school, institute, or college with a major in electrical and line worker training, or possess significant previous experience in line work.
• Valid Class A driver's license with a good record of safe driving.
• Ability to reside within 45 minutes of the regular reporting location or willingness to relocate within nine months.
• Ability to perform all essential physical functions of the classification.
• Ability to comply with the Company's random drug and alcohol testing policy.
