Line Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate technical support to production lines to resolve equipment breakdowns and reduce downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules
• Analyze recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions through root cause analysis (RCA)
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage
• Participate in line improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with EHS, quality, and GMP standards
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures during all maintenance activities
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and modification activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• 2–3 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment (e.g., FMCG, pharmaceutical, or electronics)
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
• Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, drives, and pneumatics
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS
• Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
• Knowledge of GMP and working within regulated manufacturing environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with production equipment, conveyors, packaging machines, or automated systems
• Basic project management skills
• Experience in vendor coordination and spare parts management
