Line Producer

Responsibilities

• Participate in editorial meetings to build and maintain the show's rundown throughout the day
• Manage producer assignments and provide editorial guidance
• Oversee live production, guiding the technical crew with clear instructions and managing timing
• Handle all aspects of pre-production, including package approvals and reporter scripts
• Check copy and lower thirds to ensure accuracy and visual quality
• Keep the host on time using effective cues and monitor screen aesthetics
• Write and copy edit scripts as needed

Requirements

• 2-4 years of prior television or similar production experience
• Proven experience working in a live control room environment
• Experience interacting with high-profile talent
• Proficiency with newsroom and video editing software
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, television, or a related field
• Strong interest in business news, current events, and politics
