Line Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate HDPE extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastic conduit pipe
• Adjust and document operating conditions to ensure products meet customer specifications and manufacturing tolerances
• Monitor cooling systems, including vacuum and spray tanks, to ensure proper water levels, flow, and temperature
• Perform necessary tooling changes and process corrections to maintain production schedules and maximum operating speeds
• Maintain accurate documentation for inventory transactions and record "Lost Production Hours"
• Review product and equipment throughout the shift to ensure quality and material requirements are met

Requirements

• Working knowledge of extruders, vacuum systems, chiller systems, and resin systems
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and taking measurements
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (currently 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM night shift rotation)
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and perform tasks involving squatting, bending, or stooping
• Ability to work in a plant environment with heat, dust, and noise

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid forklift license
