Line Operator

Responsibilities

• Physically operate an extrusion line to ensure products are produced without defects and within manufacturing tolerances
• Perform extrusion line start-ups, changeovers, and monitor/troubleshoot the extrusion process
• Adjust equipment including dosing systems, vacuum tanks, and thickness gauges to maintain quality standards
• Monitor production runs and maintain required documentation, including equipment downtime and causes
• Perform routine, basic maintenance on equipment
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workspace
• Communicate with team members to ensure continuous production with minimal waste

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and ability to push/pull pipe coils
• Ability to stand in a stationary position 80-100% of the time
• Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate verbally
• Commitment to wearing required PPE, including gloves, eye protection, and steel-toe boots

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-year of extrusion or manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of PLC controlled and integrated equipment
• Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers
