Line Operator

Responsibilities

• Physically operate an extrusion line to ensure products are produced without defects and within manufacturing tolerances
• Monitor operating parameters of extruders and make necessary adjustments to die, water, or vacuum systems
• Perform on-line quality control and ensure pipe dimensions (wall thickness, diameter, length) meet specifications
• Document all product dimensions on production reports in a neat, accurate, and timely format
• Perform setup and changeovers for production lines, including SDR and size changes
• Stack and bundle finished products and maintain a clean, organized working environment
• Comply with and promote all company safety policies

Requirements

• Competency in reading, writing, and mathematics (testing required)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Valid forklift/lift truck license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to work a night rotation schedule (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM) on a bi-weekly 2-2-3 rotation
• Must be available for a 3-week training period (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM)

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing production experience
