Line Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support by maintaining, repairing, and setting up pharmaceutical production equipment, including filling, packaging, and compounding lines.
• Perform preventative maintenance and planned repairs to improve equipment reliability and packaging efficiency.
• Execute precision setup of printing and vision inspection systems for serialization products.
• Troubleshoot and program PLC control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and install/program VFDs.
• Maintain and repair electrical controls, electronic circuitry, and pneumatic systems.
• Complete GMP documentation, including batch records and work orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with the training of new hires, including line service technicians and operators.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) certification is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC operations (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Elau, Omron, etc.) and reading blueprints/electrical wiring diagrams.
• Proven troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (AM, PM, MN, or continental) and perform weekend work at least twice a month.
• Ability to work in tight spaces and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and squatting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dual certification in Industrial Electrician (442A) and Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A).
• Experience with MES and SAP systems.
