Line Mechanic Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Safely perform operation, maintenance, and construction of overhead and underground electric systems
• Diagnose and correct problems related to the overhead electric system
• Ensure the safety of self, coworkers, the general public, and company property
• Respond to emergency calls 24/7 in all weather conditions
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and trade allies
• Perform related less skilled work associated with the job classification

Requirements

• 3 years of overhead electric construction and maintenance experience or completion of a formal training program
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and other required certifications
• Ability to work 24/7 on-call in all weather conditions
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
