Line Leader Shift Incharge

Responsibilities

• Manage shift-wise production activities to achieve daily targets and ensure optimum use of workforce, machines, and materials.
• Lead and manage a shift workforce including operators, helpers, and technicians, handling allocation, discipline, and training.
• Oversee technical operations for CNC punching machines (Amada & Prima), including setup, tooling, and troubleshooting.
• Apply expertise in sheet metal fabrication, including bending operations, nesting, and material thickness optimization.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, coordinating with QA teams for inspection and root cause analysis.
• Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices, 5S, and Kaizen to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
• Enforce safety practices, PPE usage, and compliance standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in workforce handling and shift operations management.
• Strong knowledge of production planning coordination and shopfloor execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large shopfloor teams of 30–60+ personnel.
• Deep familiarity with the automotive or fabrication industry.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, such as SAP.
• Demonstrated success in Lean Manufacturing, 5S implementation, and downtime reduction.
