Line Leader, Packaging Technical

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production line to meet daily and weekly production goals while ensuring efficiency and compliance with SOPs.
• Supervise, motivate, and train production team members, including full-time and temporary associates.
• Monitor production processes, perform in-process checks, and manage line clearance activities.
• Ensure accurate completion of GMP documentation, equipment log books, and inventory transactions in SAP and MES.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and identifying potential hazards.
• Perform equipment set-up and minor troubleshooting for machinery such as cartoners, case packers, and checkweighers.
• Minimize downtime by optimizing line output, wash-up, and change-over standards.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic packaging environment.
• Proven exposure to current cGMP requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent math, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
