Line Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food items according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and departmental standards
• Manage multiple kitchen stations including grill, sauté, prep, salad, and desserts
• Employ batch cooking techniques to ensure freshness, quality, and timely service
• Maintain high standards of food presentation and temperature control
• Respond efficiently to last-minute and specialty orders
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance needs to supervisors
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and exceptional culinary outcomes

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in fast-paced culinary environments (restaurants, corporate dining, hotels, etc.)
• Proficiency in various cooking techniques and ability to work multiple stations
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and food quality
• Ability to read and follow recipes and perform basic math calculations
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30lbs for extended periods
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a Food Handler’s Certificate
• Certificate in Culinary Arts or formal culinary training
• Recent culinary school graduates are encouraged to apply
