Line Cook

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize the preparation of food items according to standardized recipes
• Ensure proper portion sizes, weights, and plate presentation
• Coordinate food preparation with other kitchen staff to maintain service flow
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards, including cleaning equipment, grills, ovens, and stoves
• Perform opening and closing duties, including station setup and breakdown
• Ensure proper rotation of all food items to prevent spoilage
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by keeping floors free of hazards and debris
• Assist other kitchen team members as needed to support high-volume operations

Requirements

• Valid Health Department Food Handler Certification
• High School Diploma
• Proven knowledge of high-volume kitchen operations and expediting
• Experience with food prep work and kitchen sanitation protocols
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
• Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs
• COVID-19 vaccination required (subject to legally valid exemptions)
