About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level culinary customer service and promote a fine dining experience
- Work with culinary leadership to ensure resident satisfaction with dining programs
- Maintain kitchen, food storage, and preparation areas in a clean and sanitary condition
- Manage kitchen opening and closing procedures
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and approved menus
- Document food and refrigeration temperatures
- Assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Manage food and supply inventory and communicate needs to leadership
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a cook in hospitality or healthcare
- Valid food handlers permit as required by law
- Ability to read and follow recipes, production guides, and cleaning schedules
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Strong relationship-building skills with residents and team members
