About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to approved recipes and standards
- Support daily meal service for large volumes of guests in a high-volume environment
- Assist with food preparation across various kitchen stations including hot line, cold prep, and bakery
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with FOODSAFE and HACCP principles
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas
- Assist with portion control, receiving, storage, and rotation of food products
- Adhere to dietary requirements, allergies, and special meal requests
- Support end-of-shift clean-up and sanitation procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Cook or Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Experience in high-volume food service such as camps, hotels, resorts, or institutional dining
- Valid Food Safety certification
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and safe food handling
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and production schedules
- Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours as required
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting kitchen supplies
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
