About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook various dishes including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts following established recipes
- Maintain assigned par levels of food items and follow prep lists and guidelines
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, and work surfaces to ensure sanitary practices
- Store, receive, stock, and rotate food according to company standards to ensure freshness
- Monitor food temperatures and cook items sufficiently using appropriate testing methods
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food for service to waiters or patrons
- Follow all food allergy procedures and special dietary restrictions
- Communicate effectively with Back of House and Front of House team members in a high-paced environment
Requirements
- Previous prep and cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Required food and alcohol certifications as designated by location
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for a full shift
- Ability to work in environments with loud noises
