About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook dishes including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts according to established recipes and par levels
- Maintain food quality and freshness by checking ingredients, rotating stock, and regulating cooking temperatures
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, and work surfaces to ensure sanitary food-handling practices
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food for service to waiters or patrons
- Follow all food allergy procedures and special dietary restrictions
- Work closely with Back of House and Front of House team members in a high-paced environment
- Comply with all health code requirements and safety regulations, including the proper use of knives and protective gear
Requirements
- Previous prep and cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Required food and alcohol certifications as designated by location
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a full shift
- Ability to work in environments with loud noises
