About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items including dressings, sauces, appetizers, sides, and entrees
  • Accurately portion and plate food products according to Sofitel standards
  • Manage and maintain your assigned workstation, including prepping, washing, and chopping components
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members, managers, and restaurant staff to ensure smooth service
  • Restock kitchen items and clean prep stations and equipment as required
  • Execute dishes using proper techniques and understanding of various proteins, vegetables, and spices

Requirements

  • 3 years of professional cooking experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant with French or American a la carte service
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to pass a background check
