Line and Surface Plate Operator 2

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance inspections, CMM operations, and dimensional checks for aerospace components.
• Conduct first piece approvals and dimension-M (final) inspections with minimal assistance.
• Execute data entry operations and maintain files for packing slips and test data in Receiving Inspection.
• Perform receiving inspection purges and casting dimensional checks.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of parts to customers in the buy-off area.
• Conduct random audits of manufacturing processes, products, and certified operators.
• Write non-conformance tags for rejects using electronic systems.
• Support special programs where contractual requirements necessitate distinct inspection processes.
• Work the 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:30pm to 11:30pm) following initial training on the 1st shift.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in shop mathematics.
• Ability to perform data entry operations.
• Ability to operate CMMs and use standard measuring instruments.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience using SAP.
• Previous CMM operation experience.
• Background in manufacturing inspection.
