Lighting Engineer Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop Scout Exterior Lighting Standards to ensure robust product quality
• Ensure appropriate vehicle connection points for electrical are present in base architectures
• Lead development of RFQ packages, technical reviews, and supplier selection
• Collaborate cross-functionally to set design direction and execute unique Scout accessories
• Contribute to product specification books, test plans, DVP&R, DFMEA, and Quality Assurance requirements
• Direct design and analysis groups to create 3D CAD models and validate with analytical models (Optics, FEA, CFD)
• Maintain component and subsystem requirements, including interface control documents (ICD)
• Ensure program targets for cost, budget, timing, weight, and quality are met
• Conduct product evaluation and design reviews during prototype and pre-production phases
• Develop prototypes for virtual and physical verification testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a relevant field
• 7 years of experience in lighting areas and automotive product development (Design, Test, and Launch)
• Proficiency in CATIA for detailed part design and development
• Strong technical expertise in lighting components and systems
• Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE)
• Valid driver's license and passport for domestic and international travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Electric Vehicle (EV) programs
