Lighting Artist

Responsibilities

• Work with design and technical art teams to create balanced and atmospheric lighting for in-game environments and cinematics
• Use composition skills to enhance game environments and locations through lighting
• Create lighting-related visual and post-processing effects
• Maintain and ensure runtime performance and optimization
• Enhance the project's mood and tell stories through lighting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of lighting experience on a AAA project
• Extensive experience using Unreal Engine 4 and 5, including Lumen in UE5
• Proficiency in Maya
• Extensive experience with 2D packages such as Photoshop and Substance
• Solid understanding of shaders and materials
• Knowledge of various baked and real-time lighting methods
• Strong Environment or Tech Art background
• Artistic education to at least graduate level
• Strong portfolio including examples of realistic modelling and environments
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
