Light Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate light duty motorized vehicles including trucks, vans, and various landscape or snow removal equipment
• Perform general landscape maintenance such as trimming, cutting, watering, raking, and planting
• Execute campus cleaning, snow and ice removal, and moving details using appropriate vehicles
• Set up equipment, perform simple vehicle adjustments, and conduct daily inspections
• Load and unload equipment safely and maintain records of mileage and fuel usage
• Work effectively in a team environment under various weather conditions

Requirements

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Possession of a valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license in good standing
• WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate (or willingness to obtain them)
• Physical ability to perform the required manual duties
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of experience driving related vehicles
