Lifting SME

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lifting plans in accordance with industry regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Supervise all aspects of lifting operations, including simple, complicated, and complex lifts across worksites.
• Lead and coordinate teams of contractor crane operators, riggers, and banksmen to ensure safe and efficient activities.
• Prioritize and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives and safe lifting practices.
• Maintain compliance with international standards and regulations related to lifting engineering.
• Act as the primary point of contact for lifting-related queries and provide guidance to stakeholders.
• Facilitate training and development initiatives for lifting personnel to ensure competency.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of lifting equipment and procedures, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, including lift plans, risk assessments, and equipment inspections.

Requirements

• Appointed Person qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in lifting operations on large-scale construction projects.
• Extensive experience with complex lifting operations and multiple types of lifting equipment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with significant Project Management (PM) or Construction Management (CM) contracts.
• Project Management certification.
• Familiarity with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER).
• Proven experience working within complex construction environments and matrix organizations.
• Strong contractor supervision and stakeholder negotiation skills.
