Lifting Equipment Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and inspections of lifting equipment and lifting accessories
• Inspect and certify offshore containers in accordance with applicable standards and company procedures
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, functional tests, and proof load tests
• Identify defects, deterioration, excessive wear, corrosion, and deformation affecting safe operation
• Recommend repairs, rejection, or replacement of equipment that does not meet acceptance criteria
• Prepare accurate inspection reports, certificates, and supporting documentation
• Comply with all HSE policies and safe working practices during onsite and offshore inspections

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the inspection, examination, testing, and certification of lifting equipment
• LEEA Lifting Accessories (LAC) Diploma Certificate
• Offshore Container Diploma Certificate
• Strong knowledge of cranes, hoists, chain slings, wire rope slings, shackles, and lifting beams
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification
