Lift Director

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigging inspections and monitor crane activities to ensure safe lifting operations
• Review critical lift plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and ensure compliance with ANSI, ASME, and OSHA standards
• Assist in accident/incident investigations and root-cause analysis
• Conduct NCLP and rigging workshops and identify training needs
• Create daily HammerTech observations and inspections
• Participate in weekly Lift Director calls to improve crane and rigging programs
• Lead pre-lift meetings and safety orientations
• Collaborate with superintendents, risk management, and subcontractor leadership
• Identify and encourage the adoption of new crane and rigging technologies

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of crane and rigging experience or equivalent education
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety culture and support compliance
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage risk and identify regulatory changes
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CCO Crane Operator certification
• CCO Rigger 1 certification
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
