Lift and Rigging Engineer Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of complex and high-risk lifting operations
• Develop and approve comprehensive lifting plans and method statements
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments for critical lifts
• Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards such as OSHA and LOLER
• Mentor and supervise Lifting Trainees and Level 1 and 2 Lifting professionals
• Coordinate with project managers, crane operators, rigging teams, and subcontractors
• Review and approve lifting equipment certifications and inspection records
• Participate in lifting incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Contribute to the development of lifting procedures and provide engineering stamps when required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
• 6+ years of construction industry experience
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Ability to work in a construction site environment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and working in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience specifically in lifting and rigging operations
• Proficiency in lifting simulation software and CAD tools
• In-depth knowledge of lifting codes, standards, and safety regulations
