About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist members utilizing the pool area
- Observe assigned pool and surrounding area
- Enforce all posted pool guidelines and age restrictions
- Assist Aerobics and Swim Instructors in setting up or facilitating classes
- Develop and implement swim lesson plans
- Provide individual and group instruction to participants of all ages and skill levels
- Assess participant abilities and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress
- Assist with swim team or special aquatic events
Requirements
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (Shallow Water or deeper) required
- Previous lifeguarding and swim instruction experience preferred
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification or equivalent preferred
- Availability for weekday and weekend shifts, including at least one evening and one weekend shift per week
- Authorized to work in the USA
