Lifeguard/Pool Attendant

Responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area to ensure the safety of all pool users
• Maintain swimming pool water quality, including testing pH and chlorine levels
• Check daily performance of pumps, drains, filters, and heating systems
• Coordinate with the maintenance department for filtration system cleaning and equipment upkeep
• Ensure cleanliness of the swimming pool, children’s splash pool, and jacuzzi
• Arrange sun loungers, mattresses, chairs, tables, and umbrellas daily
• Monitor and report the status of pool tiles and underwater lights

Requirements

• Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized government authority
• Up-to-date first aid and CPR certifications
• 1–2 years of experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant, preferably in hospitality
• Excellent swimming and rescue skills
• Basic knowledge of pool water testing and chemical handling
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
