Lifeguard/Pool Attendant

Responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area at all times to ensure the safety of all guests, including children and adults
• Maintain swimming pool water quality by testing pH and chlorine levels daily
• Perform necessary chemical additions to ensure water is hygienically safe
• Inspect and report the performance of pumps, drains, filters, and heating systems to the maintenance department
• Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the swimming pool, children’s splash pool, and jacuzzi
• Arrange poolside furniture, including sun loungers, mattresses, chairs, tables, and umbrellas
• Monitor pool assets and report any missing or damaged items to the Club Supervisor
• Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel's front fountain on a weekly basis

Requirements

• Valid lifeguard certification issued by a recognized government authority
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certifications
• 1–2 years of experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
• Excellent swimming and rescue skills with the ability to respond quickly to emergencies
• Basic knowledge of pool water testing, filtration systems, and chemical handling
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive "Yes I Can!" attitude
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
