About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment for members
- Perform all skills required for lifeguard certifications
- Verbally communicate with the public and staff
- Attend weekly staff in-service trainings
- Find substitutes when needed and report to the Aquatics Coordinator/Director
- Build member relations
- Maintain equipment and keep the area clean
Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- YMCA or ARC Lifeguard Training certification
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (ASHI or ARC)
- First Aid (ASHI or ARC)
- Oxygen Administration (ASHI or ARC)
- Demonstrated swimming ability
