Lifeguard

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and identify hazards
• Respond to emergency situations and perform water rescues
• Administer first aid and CPR
• Enforce pool rules and regulations
• Conduct regular safety checks of pool area and equipment
• Assist in pool cleanliness and basic maintenance
• Communicate professionally with patrons
• Complete detailed incident and accident reports
• Participate in regular lifesaving training sessions

Requirements

• Excellent swimming abilities and physical fitness
• Current lifeguard certification
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Knowledge of water safety protocols
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and heat
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
• Quick decision-making skills under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a lifeguard
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification
