Lifeguard

Responsibilities

• Supervise swimming activities at various aquatic facilities, including pools, shorelines, and enclosed swim areas.
• Enforce all aquatic regulations, water safety policies, and guidelines to ensure member safety.
• Administer first aid, CPR, and artificial respiration in the event of injury or drowning emergencies.
• Evaluate water conditions and initiate emergency action plans as required.
• Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water quality to ensure they are safe and usable.
• Assist in cleaning pool facilities and equipment, and record all accidents for relevant departments.
• Instruct or assist with swimming fundamental classes as needed.
• Attend weekly CPD training to maintain professional standards and lifesaving skills.

Requirements

• Current First Aid and CPR qualification.
• Valid and UAE-recognised lifeguard certificate.
• Proven swimming proficiency and comfort in all types of water conditions.
• Minimum of two years of lifeguarding experience in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to judge and evaluate the safety of individuals participating in aquatic activities.
• Strong communication skills to report unsafe conditions or equipment repairs to supervisors.
